Advocate for Volunteerism through Mentoring

The majority of youth mentoring programs registered with Oregon Mentors utilize volunteer mentors to serve youth. Because of this, it's critical that we continue to build awareness around the need for volunteers (especially men!) to serve at risk youth and that we advocate for resources to support them.

We've built a statewide database of registered programs for interested volunteers and those looking to match a youth with a caring adult through a mentoring program. We've created this tool to facilitate your ability to search the most comprehensive list of mentoring programs available in Oregon and SW Washington.

To promote volunteering through mentoring and to refer interested mentors and youth to mentoring programs, we offer registered programs the following services.

Searchable Statewide Database of Youth Mentoring Programs

Every registered mentoring program has a personalized Web page to connect potential volunteers and youth to their programs.

Team Oden Mentor Recruitment Campaign

Portland Trail Blazer #52 Greg Oden has teamed up with Oregon Mentors to celebrate existing mentors and help encourage new volunteers to mentor through the creation of Team Oden. Check out the Team Oden page for more information.

National Mentoring Month

Oregon Mentors supports National Mentoring Month in January through extensive community outreach. We make collateral and media materials from MENTOR: the National Mentoring Partnership available to all registered programs.
