Annie Klug
Communications Manager

What is my role at Oregon Mentors?
I manage Oregon Mentors’ communications and marketing including volunteer recruitment, event planning, youth activities, media campaigns and Team Oden. Most often, you’ll also hear my voice when you call the office!
What's the best part of my job?
Being out in the community, meeting new people and advocating for mentors and youth. My job is different each and every day, but no matter what I’m doing, I know it’s all an effort to match more kids with caring adults and to offer those matches new and exciting experiences, so it’s worth every minute.
Who are my mentors?
I’m fortunate that I’ve had natural mentors from an early age. Growing up with two amazing parents and a phenomenal older sister offered me guidance and role models for how I want to live my life.
Who do I mentor?
I’ve had the pleasure of working with more than a dozen kids through S.M.A.R.T. over the last six years as a volunteer reader. This year I began volunteering with a community-based program – Family of Friends – in which I’ve been matched with an energetic nine year old girl who loves dancing, spicy foods and meeting new people.
What do I like to do in my free time?
All things sports! You can find me playing volleyball most weeks and watching a variety of sports from the sidelines – there is at least one favorite for every season. I also love to shop, read and be in the great outdoors. So many things, so little time…
