Celeste Janssen
Program Director

What is my role at Oregon Mentors?
As the Program Manager, my job varies depending on our current initiatives. I pay attention to research, trends, and best practices, and share what I learn with the field. I work on trainings, our annual conference, network meetings, and one-on-one consultation with programs. I also manage our Provider Council, Research Committee, and our membership and data. If you run a mentoring program, come to me with questions.
What's the best part of my job?
Working with the great group of people that run mentoring programs all around the state.
Who are my mentors?
I’ve had many mentors in my life. Several teachers were important mentors to me in high school and college. One individual that stands out was Doug Rosner, my first boss and my high school best friend’s father.
Who do I mentor?
My husband and I are a Big Couple to a really awesome 14 year old boy through Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest. I’ve also had a terrific two and a half year match through Mentor Portland.
What do I like to do in my free time?
I love to garden, read, and travel. I also enjoy sewing, knitting, and spending time with people that are important to me.
