What I do as a youth development coordinator

Working with an amazing, dedicated staff at Oregon Mentors and meeting mentoring professionals who are passionate and committed to youth development through mentoring. Also knowing that my work may help a child gain an important person in their lives.

The favorite thing about my job

My job is different every day. I guess I am most content when I am teaching and learning. (Not having to change gears when bells ring every 50 minutes is pretty nice too!)

Why I believe that mentoring makes a difference in the lives of youth

I believe that a large part of personal growth is affected by those who surround us. I have been fortunate enough to have positive role models in my life, and believe every child deserves a trust-worthy companion to help guide them toward a healthy lifestyle.

If I could be mentored by anyone who would it be

Oh goodness. Annie Leibovitz? Um, Madeleine Albright or Michael Pollan. All of the above! Or my parents.

My favorite pastimes

Running, reading, hiking and traveling!
