About
The Kids Unlimited Mentoring Program, also known as Juntura, is a site-based program designed to work with youth ages 10-15 who demonstrated multiple risk factors that predict an early exit from school (dropping out). Our focus is on developing high quality, sustainable, long term relationships with our youth and successful adult role models. We are a community-based youth development organization that serves over 2,000 children and their families each year within our structured after school, evening, weekend and summer camp programs. We have incorporated mentoring in our programs since 2003. Students/mentees are screened using a research-based screening scale for participation in the mentoring program. Mentors are thoroughly screened, trained, monitored and supervised by Kids Unlimited staff. Our program requires a 12 month commitment of one hour a week.
