Partners
As the statewide partnership for mentoring programs, Oregon Mentors understands that great results can be achieved through collaboration. Below are only a few examples of our collaboration:
National Mentoring Month – Business
This marks the fifth year that Liberty Northwest has underwritten Oregon Mentors‘ National Mentoring Month Advertising. The campaign increases awareness about the importance of mentoring and reinforces Liberty Northwest’s mission of Helping People Live Safer, Healthier Lives. Liberty Northwest is a leader in providing its employees paid time-off to volunteer with non profit organizations. Its employees volunteer for several mentoring programs, including SMART and Big Brothers Big Sisters. The company employs several interns through the INROADS program each year. Generous with their corporate philanthropy, Liberty Northwest was named Oregon Mentors 2007 Premier Partner.
Youth Development Networks – Nonprofits, government, foundations
Oregon Mentors and OregonASK have partnered to assist each of four communities in building a regional support network for mentoring and after school programs. Oregon Mentors is sponsoring the three-year project with funding from Meyer Memorial Trust and the Corporation for National and Community Service. Additional support is being provided by the host sites for the project: Citizens for Safe Schools (Klamath Falls), Oregon Commission for Children and Families (Medford), and OregonASK (Salem). Visit our Youth Development Networks page for more information.
