Good Deals for Good Deeds Partners

Oregon Mentors launched the Good Deals for Good Deeds program as a pilot in the Portland area in September 2010 thanks to a generous $25,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation.

This program was established to reward mentors for their great service with free and discounted offers for kid-friendly meals and activities. These offers not only take pressure off of mentors to spend money, but they also offer memorable activities that build relationships between adults and youth. Research shows that shared experiences can ultimately increase the strength of the bond between the two and the length of the match.

Thank you to the businesses that have stepped up to support our mentors with coupon discounts along with free tickets and passes. If you're interested in supporting this program with additional offers, please e-mail annie@oregonmentors.org.
