Program Description

ASPIRE volunteer advisors help high school students to envision a future of possibilities. They provide one-on-one mentoring that includes academic preparation, scholarship search, career exploration, college choice and financial aid. College is defined as any 2-year or 4-year college, or vocational/technical school. ASPIRE is not just for high-achieving or "at-risk" students but serves the whole student body. By being inclusive we are more likely to reach the student who believes a postsecondary education is unobtainable. ASPIRE Advisors are matched with 10 students. Currently there are more than 250 volunteers at the 28 schools. The ASPIRE program provides training and resource materials to volunteers mentors.
