Program Description

"I Have a Dream" - Oregon was founded in 1990 to help low income children achieve success in school and college.

"I Have a Dream" - Oregon is pioneering an innovative approach to enhancing college success for some of the most at-risk students in the community. For the last 20 years the organization has demonstrated that with the right supports, children from disadvantaged backgrounds can become educated, contributing members of their community. By focusing on giving them the tools they need to reach success, the likelihood that they will become a societal liability is minimized. The majority of participants come from families where one or more of their parents did not complete high school, yet "I Have Dream" - Oregon has had remarkable success helping students to be the first in their family to attend college.
