Program Description

4Results is a high quality mentoring program in Vancouver, WA that matches adult volunteer mentors with children in Clark County who are receiving mental health services, are in the foster care system, or who have a parent in prison. Children are referred to our program by their mental health therapist or, in some cases, by their caregivers and are identified as needing a consistent, trustworthy adult in his/her life to act as a role model for him/her. All mentors must commit to meeting with their mentee for 1-3 hours a week for at least one year and must pass an FBI fingerprint background check before being accepted into our program. Volunteers receive 15-20 hours of pre-match and ongoing training and are matched with the child that they choose. 4Results provides mentor support throughout your mentoring relationship. 4Results has two separate mentoring programs: a community based program and a school based program. In both programs, mentors choose the youth they want to mentor.
