Greg hosted his Summer Slam – A Celebration of Team Oden last month and opened up the Rose Garden to hundreds of mentors and youth, as well as families from the community. People came out from as far as Medford for a day of music, games, food and fun. Greg, mentors, and the kids played ping-pong, Guitar Hero, and elimination basketball games on the Rose Garden’s court.
An unexpected highlight of the event was Greg’s impromptu Karaoke performance:

Greg's mentor Jimmy Smith who was still in town after filming the mentoring PSA (see below) joined Greg and a number of mentor and youth pairs from around the metro area to participate in the 2008 Junior Rose Festival Parade – here are some highlights of the afternoon.

Greg and great group of kids from Mentor Portland got together to create a great Public Service Announcement about the need for more mentors. The PSA's not out yet but here is a sneak peek of the "behind the scenes."
